Legal Age For Sex in Singapore

When it comes to legal age for sex it is different in every country. So that’s why we decided to do a little research and see what Singapore’s law says.
If you are sixteen years old you cannot have sex with anyone, even if you give your consent. What is good about this law is that both young men and women have to obey this rule.
If you live in Singapore and you are sixteen or younger you need to know that when it comes to sex you cannot have any kind of sexual interaction.

Then you have another law where you cannot have sex with someone who is younger than 18, even if you do it outside of Singapore.
Of course this refers to people who are permanent residents or Singapore citizens, so you need to be careful about it, because if you do it you will still be liable.

You always have people who will say that they didn’t know that someone is sixteen, because they looked older, which is pretty irrelevant to the court.
Their law says that if you are above the age of 21 that you cannot claim that you didn’t know that person is a minor.

In another case if you are younger than 21 you can say that you didn’t know that you were having sex with a minor, and court will accept it, but only if the minor was of the opposite sex and if you haven’t committed something like this before.
